5 factor diet plan

Description / History:

The 5 factor diet plan was created by Harley Pasternak, a fitness and nutrition guru for many starts. His diet plan is different as it evolves around healty eating and exercising, things that not many diets are keen on.

The plan is simple. This is a 5 week plan. You have 5 small meals and 25 minutes exercise per day. Each week, you are allowed one day where you can eat all you want and anything you want. Pasternak actually discourages overtraining and undereating.

The diet consists of low fat proteins, healthy carbs and fat as well as fiber and sugar free drinks.

Pasternak's book about the 5 factor diet plan went on sale just after christmas, so not a lot of information is available.

Benefits:

The 5 factor diet encourages exercise and a balanced diet. The biggest benefit of this diet is that it makes you move! Also, if done properly, it can help keep you strong, lose weight and decrease the chances of heart disease and diabetes.

Drawbacks:

Since the diet is fairly new to the public, there is little information on it. Like every diet, if you go to extremes, it can be devastating for your health. Always ask for a doctor's opinion.
